Hi Candace - it Tom G. - what version of Finale do you have? In 2008, if you go to the "Midi/Audio" pull-down menu and go to "VST Setup" "KontaktPlayer2" is one of the options I can select (the other is SmartSynth) - does that answer your question? I think at that point you would toggle on "Play Finale through VST" but I'm not sure - anyone who knows, feel free to weigh in on this.
Hi Tom...I am working in 2007b. It doesn't have the VST option...I'm contemplating an upgrade to '09, not '08 cause I heard it was buggy...what's your view? thanks! -c
I haven't had any really bad experiences with Finale bugs in 2008 - the one I did experience (with Tempo Tap) was corrected with a service pack available for free on their website. I haven't experienced that one really bad one that Jim (and others) reported where your file crashes just before or during printing and you can't recover it.
